I uninstalled Norton Systemworks last night and it seems it took a few key .dll's from my Lite On CD-RW and my Lite On DVD player. The system shows that everything is okee doakee, but it doesn't recognize anything in the tray. The CD-RW is an LTR 16101B and I have looked all over Google and can find no site that works to download the drivers. I have found sites for firmware update, but no drivers. Could it be that when I update the firmware that it will change the driver update? I've never had to update the firmware previously and don't know the drill. Help would be appreciated :)

what happens when you go into the Admin options in XP under disk management?

anything in there?

MajorDomo, I suggest you delete the IDE channel on which the CDRW drive is mounted, and let Windows redetect it. Also, if this doesn't work, go to http://dhc014.rpc1.org, and download the latest firmware for your drive from the "Firmware List" there. Run it to update.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll be back on that box tonight and give it a shot. :)
