Hey folks,

I was curious if anyone had an up-to-date list of what Linux distro's / versions currently support S-ATA Native (out of the box / ISO). If anyone here could give me a couple good suggestions for distributions, I'd appreciate it. I've had 'no' luck w/ RH9 and frankly I'm sick of it / looking to move on to greener pastures.

Thanks,
-T.

Knoppix and Gentoo both support SATA, at least the Silicon Image controllers, anyway. I believe any distro CD that boots a 2.4.22 or 2.6 kernel supports it. I could be mistaken, though.

Not long ago, I installed Gentoo onto a machine with a single SATA drive with a Silicon Image controller using a Knoppix CD for booting. The installation was successful.
