I have a WAP11 and a WAP54G in my apartment. I keep 802.11g clients and 802.11b clients on their respective access points to avoid slowing down the 802.11g network.
Only problem is that when I plug the access points into the network, they go into a "loop" - the WAP11 hops on to the WAP54G as a wireless client, forming a loopback on my switch and taking down both access points.
I know there is a wireless bridge mode in the config, but its turned off and both access points are in access point mode.
