OK. I've been using a Linksys BEFSR41 for years now. Now it's wireless time.
I picked up a WRT54G, and a WAP54G. I planned on replacing the BEFSR41 in the office with the WRT54G, then using the WAP54G as a bridge to the BEFSR41 in the living room for an HTPC and an Xbox.
So far I've had no luck. PCs on the WRT54G can't see the AP, the BEFSR41, or anything connected to it. The PC on the BEFSR41 can't see anything at all unless I use static IPs. I figured I could turn off DHCP on the BEFSR41 and use it as a simple switch behind the AP, but nothing seems to be working like I hoped.
If anyone else has done, or is doing, something similar to what I'm trying here, I'd like to get some details. Thanks in advance for the help.
