Is this really how the screen is supposed to look on a black image? I have to keep brightness at 0%, and I sitll have very clearly distinguishable light bleed in a dark room, and the picture quality sucks totally on anything with colors.

I had 2233RZ before with worse lightbleed that basically covered 25% of the screen and I replaced it a couple of times, but I just got the same crap again and again.

If I send this for replacement, is it likely I will just waste my time and get another crap display? Should I just sell this pos, get an U2311H and wait for OLED?

I can't see anything shocking in this picture. What monitor did you have before the 2233 and this one? a CRT?

LCDs look terrible in a dark room, only the VA panels don't (well in theory, I don't have one).

I've had an 19" LG 1952TQ tn screen and Dell 2209WA. Both of them were excellent, 2209WA just plain perfect with absolutely zero lightbleed, just a little ips glow when looking close.

The pic is from 3dvision review - mine has clearly distinguishable lightbleed in dark room covering half of the letterboxes when watching movies at calibrated 30% brightness, and at 0% it's reduced a little but still clearly distinguishable and picture quality totally ruined.
