Hello folks!

I was browsing the internet today when I accidentally found this new monitor-TV from LG, the LG M2784D.
As of now it seems a direct competitor to Samsungs T260HD.

What it offers:

  • 27" - full HD, 1920*1080, 16:9 (0.313mm pixel pitch)
  • Panel Type: 5ms TN panel with Hard Coating (3H) Anti Glare (no, not glossy screen)
  • 20.000 dynamic contrast ratio (1000CR effective) and 400cd/m2 brightness
  • 170/170 viewing angles
  • Colors:16,7 Mio. 92% NTSC
  • Connection: 2 x HDMI, DVI-D with HDCP, D-SUB, Component (YPbPr), Chinch Audio, 2 x Scart, TV (IEC), RS232C, PC Audio
  • Remote Control
  • DVB-T tuner
  • Dimensions: 654,1 mm x 494,6 mm x 210 mm
  • Speakers:int. 2 x 5 W

It looks like that this one could be the dream of many gamers, especially with tight budget (price should be around 450EUR).

If this tasty little gadget can present us a input-lag-free gaming then it's a hands on beat down of the T260HD.

What concerns me however is this information:

Multiscan support:

1152x900 (65 Hz) MAC
1152 x 870 (75 Hz) MAC
1024x768(60/75Hz)
832 x 624 (75 Hz) MAC
800 x 600 (60/75 Hz)
640 x 480 (60/75 Hz)
720 x 400 (70 Hz)
640 x 350 (70 Hz)
1280x1024 (60/75Hz)
1680x1050 (60 Hz)
1920x1080 (60 Hz)
480i - 1080p

Ok, so what exactly does this "multiscan support" mean? Would this be the 1:1 pixel mapping support?
And why isn't the 720P resolution listed? What does this mean to me if I hook up my X360 through the component cable? I hope that even if the picture gets stretched it will maintain aspect ratio, bcs this screen is 16:9...Please share your oppinion on this one! :)

This baby is too new as it appeares, the only review I've found yet is this one, and it's really lacking details:

Sigh, another TN. I know its fine for some, but I'm disappointed. I thought 27" might be where they draw the line for TN's poor up/down viewing angles, but I guess not.
