OK, well I installed a demo, game its a game called Legendary. Its OK, but every time I reboot my PC it launches on startup. This is really becoming a pain. Now I know if I just uninstall it it would probably fix the problem. The reason I havent taken this step yet, is I have no idea how or why its launching in the first place.

Im pretty computer savy, and I have vista 64 bus.

I checked the startup folder in the start menu, and it is not listed here

I checked in msconfig and under start up, it is NOT listed there either.

I even checked services under msconfig, just to see if it got added there somehow, and it did not.

What else could cause an application or game to auto launch on boot up? Anyone know of any other locations to check?

rename the .exe's in the games folder (not games explorer, not shortcuts). Put a_ in front of them or something. reboot.

Just a hunch.

ya that kept it from auto launching, no errors or anything.

But now I wonder what was causing it to auto launch in the first place?

I google searched to see if others were having similar issues, and I couldnt find anything.

Search your registry for entries regarding that demo. Also, in your "startup" folder, if you don't have Windows set up to show all files, or are running from a limited account, it's shortcut could be marked hidden and you would not see it.
