Led Lamp

Eh I was bored...

This lamp will have 5 leds total, looks like I lost 4 moving...

Heres the lamp, leds and supplies I used.

I gutted the lamp of everything except the switch.

On the left, the USB cable, on the right a 3ft cat5 stranded cable. Im using the existing switch and cat5 due to the amount of wires.

The top of the lamp with the Cat5 ran. As you can see Im using the reflector to mount the leds.

Only one mounted, so I only wired in one resister. The rest of the wiring is there.

It worked!

Here it is all assembled and ready for more leds...

not brighter but runs cooler. halogen lamps run mad hot a fire hazzard they are. should have used a luxon star now that would be cool. nice mod

There really is no point, I guess its good for a lan party... I mean it does run off a USB port...

Like I said, Im adding 4 more 3000mcd lamps...

Next one that breaks will run off a Luxon...

Hah, i have the same lamp in silver, $9.99 at Target i believe. It's a sweet little desk lamp, but it does get really hot like you say
