Sup guys, I haven't posted in WC in a long time but I have a serious problem. Damn pump is leaking at the part where the impeller (i think) and the body of the pump connect. I have it on and clamped down right for sure as it just started leaking about a day ago when I saw a little residue from my water additives in the bottom of my case. I was thinking about putting some teflon tape in the gap or maybe the o-ring is worn out? Thanks in advance!

P.S. - the pump has been running fine for about 3 months as thats the last time I've really even messed with my PC's innards.
 
Problem solved, it seems I overtighened the barbs and cracked the little fitting they screw into. Plastered it with some "Household Goo" stuff and its fixed.
 
I had the same issue.

Do yourself a favor, go to your local "real" aquarium store (I don't mean a 10gallon, I mean the 50-150 gallon store). You can pick up most of the connectors for under a buck. Replace your barb now (and the aquarium ones are much better quality than the crap it ships with). When you do that, also slap a thin coat of silicone sealant on it.

I haven't had even a drop since.
 
I patched my leaky pump with paper towels and jb weld before. not prettty but it worked. didnt feel like shutting down my computer. this was back in college when I play CS nonstop

sry to res dead thread.

This wouldn't work I didn't crack the actual barb, I cracked the thing the barb screws into which is pretty much irreplacable. It's a part of the pumps body.
 
heh, two weeks is nothing, sometimes we get people ressing threads where the last post was over a year ago :)

I take it that your repair job has held up well since you haven't made another post in this thread since then?
