The render shows a copper cooler that is still 2 slot. This would be VERY heavy. I was actually hoping to see copper coolers that were 1 slot. Guess it isn't possible, heat-wise.

Most people seem to say those massive Leadtek coolers aren't very productive at all.

its not like i took the pic, and im 99.9 % sure thats not a render, look at asus's render and then look again. anyways render or not, it almost looks like the card is bending due to the heatsink (optical illusion?)

i doubt ill even think of getting this leviathan.

We have no idea what everyone else is going to put out. Leadtek always goes overkill on these coolers. Smaller solutions will come around, so don't let Leadtek give you the wrong impression.
 
when i said leviathan, i meant the heatsink on the card. i didnt mean the 6800 ultra. im definately thinking about getting the 6800 ultra, i just gotta see what the r420 brings to the table.

i cant wait to see what other designs come out.
 
Looks rather craptacular to me. Kinda like somone used two copper AMD coolers, put one on the core and chopped up the other for the memory. And what's with that plastic shroud thingy?:confused:
 
Sheesh that thing is fugly. I hope some of the other third party vendors come out with some better designs! Or better yet, Arctic Cooling gets to work on a new version of the VGA Silencer...

Im pretty sure that even if that isn't real, if they used that design it would be ugly in real life too.
