Leadtek 6600GT, clarification

Could someone please clarify the memory frequency of this card. Everywhere i look too it says 500MHz. I though the 6600GTs were supposed to be 1000MHz, with some running at 900MHz.

It varies between vendors. Reference is 900mhz I believe.

the leadtek runs at 900mhz for the memory, the xfx runs at 1000mhz for the memory, the bfg card runs at 1075 mhz for the memory. it depends on the maker of the card. if you can scrounge up the cash, go for the xfx, but the leadtek will be a good and has thermal monitoring. also, if you plan on ocing check this cooler out. its top of the line and the only cooler for the 6600gt AGP cards.

I believe ALL 6600GT´s have thermal monitoring, just that some manufacturers have it disabled in bios. Anyuone confirm?

So the Leadtek runs is really 450, the XFX 500 and the BFG 535.

Then where is the multiplication factor?

thats what i meant pigwalk, you can enable em with Nibitor or another Nvidia bios editor, but for the average user, its kinda risky.

the multiplication factor comes in cause its GDual Data Rate3 ram. its 450 times 2 for dual data rate
