Hello,
I run a dual 17" setup, and I have lately been having an issue with my Samsung 172X where one LCD will not turn back on after switching resolutions or coming back from sleep mode. Basically, anything that causes the LCD to turn off quickly prevents it from turning on for about 5-10 minutes (screen saver, powersaving mode, switching resolutions, windows UAC).
While the working LCD will just blank and then turn on again, my problem LCD will turn off and refuse to turn back on. Then, every time I try to turn it back on, the power light will come on for 1 second (nothing displayed on screen) and immediately turn back off. The LCD will stay in this state for about 5-10 minutes. After some time, I hit the power button, and the LCD will finally come on.
I am thinking that this might have to do with my latest move across country, where I shipped the LCD from New York to California. Could a capacitor be loose somewhere inside? If so, would that cause this issues of not turning on immediately after turning off?
Thanks!
Shawn
