LCD TV/Display recommendation

So now that the Christmas rush is over. I wanted to get some recommendations on getting a new TV/Display. I currently have a Dell 2407. I have a Playstation 2 console that I like to play on occasion. I also watch some non hi-def television. The Playstation 2 looks awful on my 2407 running RCA cables. When i switch the monitor to 1:1 ratio it's just too tiny for me to enjoy.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience running LCD TVs. No price range to stay within, size I'd like to keep under a 30 inch.
