LCD pivot & bezel question

I've noticed that most of the pivot-enabled LCDs usually have thin bezel and are also symmetric considering a vertical and horizontal axis. The latter may be important because, when pivoting from landscape to portrait, the up and down bezels become, in portrait mode, the right and left. Now, my question might sound a little silly: if a monitor has a thicker lower bezel (LCDs that have included speakers have that), when changing into portrait mode, will that thicker bezel divert the viewer's attention from focusing to the screen? Would it be distracting having the right side of the monitor thicker than the left side?
