Does anyone get this? I have a DELL 24" 2405FPW.

Everytime I scroll webpages up or down and pass by some some animated gifs or pictures my scrolling becomes real slow and wavy. It also happens when I run by some text but not always.

I never used to have this problem before which is really weird... and it only happens when I'm on the web. I get some screen tearing in some games aswell but its not serious.

My system is as follows if that helps

AMD XP 3200+ Barton @ 2.2GHZ
1GB Twinx BH-5 v1.1 2-2-2-5
PNY Geforce 6800 GT 256MB stock with Forceware 76.50
Windows XP SP1a

The 6800GT is really slow with 2D my 9500pro was quicker than my 6800GT for animated gifs and flash games....

You have a point there, I didn't really think about it much until now but when I had my 9800 pro I didn't have any problems with picture lag or animated gifs. It's really pissing me off, I might have to sell my 6800 GT and get a X800XTPE.

At the moment I'm holding out hope that it might be a driver issue but I could be wrong.

Yeah, nVidia cards are not great for 2D stuff.
I prefer my ATi Rage 128 Pro VIVO card over this 6600GT for browsing the web.

I'm hoping Nvidia next offering is better at 2D because it really blows having such a great card be so weak at 2D. I thought something like this was fixed years ago but I guess thats not the case with Nvidia.

Chances are years ago Nvidias cards were faster at 2D, I guess thats what happens when you want to offer the best 3D you can and skimp out on other costs... It annoys the hell out of me as well, and I have though about going back to ATI next time round.

/me Loves ATi.
I only got an nVidia card because it was the only thing in my price range.
