Since i switched to a LCD monitor 2 weeks ago, I've had this problem. The monitor blinks (turns to black for a second) when starting/closing a video file. It happens when using either Windows Media Player, Powerdvd and Winamp but not Apple's Quicktime player. I've never had that behaviour with my CRT. Anybody experienced this before? Anybody know how to get rid of it?

If it can help, I'm running WinXP SP2, ATI Radeon 8500 (Catalyst 4.9).

I found the source of the problem. It's the "theater mode" option of the clone mode of the ATI drivers. My tv is hooked to my computer, the theater mode displays video content fullscreen on the tv when i open a video file. The video does not have to be full screen on my LCD. It's a cool feature. I deselected the option and the blinking is now gone.

P.S. I did update the drivers, but it didn't change anything.
