What LCD display could be used like a tv would and still make for a good monitor.

For example.. you could watch your tv cable and also hook it up to your dvd player?

under 500$
 
Anything with 300:1 or greater contrast and 25ms refresh (less is better) will fit the bill just fine.

Anything better than the above specs is just gravy :)

The 17"-19" lcd's have been priced to sell lately. Check out all the deal forums to see whats on sale this week ;)

which begs the question, what size are you looking for?
