I was eating a piece of candy and didnt know it was filled with candy liqued inside and i bit half of it and it squirted all over my monitor. i have this lcd cleaning brush. but the liqued is kinda stickey. so it just spread it out on the monitor. i didnt know what to do. so i dampend a cloth. and i do mean very damp. and i tried wiping it off. and then i dried it with the lcd cleaning brush. i got most of it ok. but when i look at the lcd from an angle i can still see all the marks. how should i go about cleaning this. im always very gentle to the screen of my monitor. i could probibally get more water and apply some pressure but am way the scared of damaging my monitor.
 
Rule of thumb: never eat at the pc, ever. As for the lcd, I would just try wipping the affected area with a cloth dipped in warm water until the residue is completely removed. Make sure its a soft cloth and don't press too hard or you could scratch it. Lens paper would be preferable. Also, make sure its no dripping. If water drips down the screen, it could get inside and then you'll really be screwed. Hope this helps.
 
I've used glass cleaner on ever monitor I have ever had including about 8 lcd's. They still look brand new and I'm anal about my screen.
