Hi Guys,

I've an ASUS P5B Deluxe (Socket 775, PCIe, SATA II, DDR2) mobo.

Will it be possible to install expansion cards on the mobo or else run external devices that will let me use new technologies such as USB 3.0, PCIe 2.0, SATA 600, and eSATA?

Thanks for your advice.

The PCIe slots will be 1.x and there isn't anything you can do about that, but it shouldn't really limit you either.

USB 3.0 and SATA 600 can be added via expansion card without issue.

eSATA is as simple as installing a bracket, which has an eSATA port on the outside and plugs into a normal SATA port on your motherboard.
