Here in Winter Park, FL (Orlando) I know there is going to be a LARGE auction of older computer hardware, like P3's and Older P4's. I'm trying to find the date here, but it's from the OCPS School system, so I'm guessing it's around 200+ computers for pretty cheap. I'll post back here with the date when I find it out.

I'm thinking the time for P3/P4s has passed. Good luck though.

I agree, they are now outdated and replaced by the new dual-cores, who can be built for cheap and would yield a bigger points output :)

However, it's a good time to stock on miscellaneous stuff like cases, monitors and other stuff if they are still good.

Yeah I know they are out-dated, and yes there will be monitors too.
But alas, if you could pickup a P4 box for 10 bucks, it's still a steal :)

Those of you looking for older hardware for building machines for family/friends/charity/whatever might also take a look at Public Surplus. You can filter for your state, and often you'll see auctions for large lots of older PCs. They won't be much good for folding, but perfectly suitable for everyday, non-modern-gaming use.
