Background:
I got a really nice latop on the cheap with a broken lcd. Has a really nice lcd, bought the replcement lcd on ebay (trying to save a few bucks). Well the screen fits perfect however the data port on the back of the lcd is on the left, I need it on the right for the ribbon to be long enough and route properly. I have no problem with changing the route of the cable or modifying the bezel to allow it to pass properly but I need say another 2 inches of ribbon. I found one of the ribbon extensions that makes it left to right , but it must be a bad ribbon or something because when I hook it up, I get nothing. Plugged directly in to factory it works pefect, but is too short.
Question:
Is there any way to make the factory ribbon longer or a place to purchase a better conversion ribbon? Any help would be appriciated
