Laptop Hard drive

I need to get some data off of a laptop hard drive. Can I just connect the laptop hard drive to a 3.5" external HDD case and get the data onto my PC?

I mean are the connectors the same specs for a laptop HDD as a PC HDD?

You need a 2.5" adapter, easy to find on Newegg and they're cheap. Always nice to have.

If its SATA, you won't need any adapters unless your PSU doesnt have a SATA power plug, hehe.
