ok me and a bunch of friends all got on the Jap. beta test for mcsoft's Lineage2. Its an alright game i like most of it, but my main propblem is the lag. The specs for my computer are at my sig, the only change is i dont have the 2700+ yet im gettin that in about 3 weeks. Its odd i lag horriabley while my friends run crystal clear in the same setting, and some with WORSE computers than mine? what is goin on any ideas....im so lost....i dont lag much in any other games this jus pisses me off about this one...o ya i jus reformatted, and got the graphics card both on saturday, so those 2 are not a factor.....Processor?

thanks for input.
Jimmy:rolleyes:

hate to ask it but what's the ping? huge factor.

that or maybe your ram, also a possibility

i think my ram seems fine, unless my friend sold me some blown ram =-(....my ping in games is usually between like 20-50...every other game seems fine jus this one...i dunnowat it is thats y i thought processor

i kno that, but non of my friends have even close to as much lag as me, it runs better AND some have worse stuff than mine...any ideas?

768MB of ram? i bet the lag comes from the different ram stick sizes, try with the biggesr stick with tight timings and see how it works :D

In my opinion, mixing different size/brands/timings memory sticks leads to performance and stability problems.

I see you have 768mb of ram, dunno what combination (3x256) or (1x256+1x512) gives you 768MB.

If you using the first combination, then remove one stick and use the dual channel (DC=2 sticks) function of the board memory controllers.

If you using the second combination, remove one stick and try running your programs with a single 512 or 256mb module and see if the lag is gone.

Hope i was clear enough hehe :p

Good Luck
