Ok, whenever i turn on this light in my room, my keyboard goes dead for 10 seconds...

CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN THIS?

It would help if you told us a little more information. What type of keyboard, model, wirelress?

If wireless, you might try moving the reciever away from any monitors/lamps, etc... You might also try plugging the computer into a different wall circuit then your lamp. Provide a little more info and i'm sure somone can sugguest more solutions.

is there anything else on your computer not functioning?? also is it a wireless ? you might need to check your wiring on the outlet, but if the keyboard is the only thing going dead it would be something different.

Ooh yea?
I got a better one
We gotz there lights in our house, with one of those little control box things you plug in the wall and you press like '2' and then 'on', and then row two of the lights come on (we didnt' put them in, came with the house like 15 years ago). Anyways, ever since i've had my comp in my room a floor above the room with the lights, they will randomly turn on, and usually in the middle of the night.

And my comp is on a completely different circuit

if its a wire less then it may be interfearence (maybe) but it could also be just too much load in your room, you turn on the lights, there is a spike in the power draw, and just happens that the keyboard is the one to suffer (or atleast, from what you can see) after a couple of seconds the spike in the power draw levles out, and your ok (like haveing an ac on, a ligh, two computers, the light dims when you turn on a moniter)

good luck benny

Its not wireless... i dont know the model or anything but its this flat viewsonic keyboard... silver... and this has holy started happening since i routed the wire more directly to the computer...

I forget, what are those types of ghosts called again?

potergeists?
poltergists?

Power shortage, Try plugging in your PSU plug into a different portion or power block it should i help i remember when i had this fan and i turn it on and my monitor would shake
