keyboard not working in xp

heres a problem that i copied from a help forum which i also have but i have a corded kybord:
Thanks for your help, but I've tried uninstalling the keyboard and rebooting several times. As far as the software goes, the wireless keyboard I bought came with the software and it didn't work. It's really weird how its only the numbers and letters area of the keyboard, but any other special keys work fine. I can't figure it out.
I've tried 4 different keyboards, and still nothing.
the keyoard works fine in the boot and bios, but when i enter windows it stops working.
ive been in the device manger and it shows that my keyboard is not reconized,it has a exlamation mark where it shows the keyboard.

any help will be great.

I know man, you need to go to taco bell and ask for the gordida. that will solve your woes.lol see ya soon
 
it possible its trying to set your standard keyboard up with the drivers for the wireless one, you might have to reinstall windows as you cant really get jack done in windows without a keyboard...

i have fixed this problem ages ago, thanx for the input tho.
