Hi,
I've been using my K7N420 Pro for over a year now and was having problems with my internet lately. Whenever I start to download or upload, windows states "Local Area Connection - A network cable is unplugged'. I've tried formatting Windows (running Windows XP Pro w/ SP1; Win2k experiences the same problem), updating BIOS, changing NIC (originally using the onboard NIC card), plugging connection directly to modem, changing CAT5 cables, checking my RAM, and downloading drivers and upgrading firmware with no luck. Internet works fine on my other computers, so I'm pretty sure that it's not the ISP. I also haven't added in any new hardware since the problem started occuring.
Any suggestions on a soluton? Right now I'm pretty stumped with the problem. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
MSI K7N420 Pro
AMD AthlonXP 2200+ - Thoroughbred
2x 256 Megs PC2100 RAM (installed in slots 1 & 3)
Visiontek GeForce4 128 Meg Ti4400
Windows XP Pro w/ SP1
Sorry if I posted this in the wrong board.
