I just installed the client on my p3-1.1, just to see what type of performance hit it will take, if any.

And I noticed my first WU will be done in 5 months.
Is that normal?

I used to run rc5, and I know it's a different project, but dizzam, that's along time between work units.
 
dont worry, after it finishes a few frames, your times will drop to a few days to a week
or so.

Addicitive sums it up nicely. Before long 1.1 will be a fast boxen in your farm, 733's, 500's, they will all become more attractive... :D

Gaah, pcchips! My eyes, they burn...

I'm not buying anything from pcchips for as long as I live. In November, I had four folding boxen; now I have none. All of them victim to the caps busting, followed by the VRMs going and sending several volts into the CPU. Which explains the glut of memory I've been having; the memory doesn't get touched, and passes memtest fine. At least that's a plus, I guess...

I am being "mature" and going to spend my money to pay off debt (money I already was foolish enough to spend.. that I did not happen to have at the time)

FAH is to Computers what Beer is to Girls -- It lowers your "acceptable threshold" level.

 
Right click on the icon in your system tray and click "configure, i think. Anyway, one of those tabs has a slider that allows you to choose how much percentage of cpu usage you want it to have.
 
wow it has become an adiction already... I check my boxen constantly to see how far they on on their current WU how long till it should finish...

LOL I know how that goes I have FAH setup I find my self looking at it a lot. That and my profile on Hardfolding wondering how I can get my ppd up. I will take care of that soon, next wedensday I will start adding a few labs to my list of borgs.
