I just ordered an Evga X58 SLI motherboard, i am piecing this rig together one part at a time. What do you guys think should be next?(only getting CPU, Mobo and RAM, reusing all my other components)

Im thinking a Core i7 920 for CPU and 6GB of Corsair Dominator's for RAM.

System will be used for tons of gaming and the webs of course.

i7 920 definately.

6GB of RAM unless you have a reason for needing 12. No difference between manufacturers (except maybe warranty?) so if you can find some cheaper than the Dominators..
Speed/timings/voltage depends on whether you want to overclock.

you don't need 12 GB

just grab a 6 GB kit

the Gskill 6 GB kits are really good performers and dominate Corsair's Dominators (oh yeah i said that) for a much cheaper price

they come highly recommended on this forum

I agree with Fail

but if you are going for 12 GB I would get 2 x 6 GB kits or 3 x 4 GB kits as too RMA all of your memory sucks balls.

Dominators are typically a waste of money, even to the enthusiast OC'er. I'd save the case and go for G.Skill ripjaws instead. Lower latency isn't worth a huge price premium either, so don't go for it unless the cost difference is negligible to you. If you plan to OC to 4Ghz on good air cooling, then DDR3-1600 is all you need. Stick to 1.5v for best compatibility. Anything higher than 1.65v may fry your CPU (IMC).
