Just got my Quad Q6600 BX80562Q6600SLACR GO Batch # L737B255 Pack Date 11/02/07 ! All I can say is I am VERY pleased with this CPU. :D Got her tuesday and have been tweaking her in. Got her stable @ 3.4 GHZ with only 1.38 Volts to the core in BIOS. CPUZ shows 1.328. Got her prime stable so Im going to do some gaming to break her in. In my previous expereience as long as I'm Prime or orthos stable for at least a good hour with nice temps, she'll be stable for 24/7. Here's a little proof ...

Fraking love this Processor ! Windows is sooooo smooth. Only game I've tested so far is COD COD UO and COD2. Gonna throw COD4 and Hellgate London on and run a few benchies. Just call me The Quadfather ...... :p

Was running an E6750. I've been eyeing a quad for awhile now but the price had been too high. Got this for 277 shipped from Clubit so I went for it and am way more than pleased.

You sure your Q6600 its not a "Him"?

Hmm... I'd say the Conroe series are male. I mean, you can push them 400mhz past their "stable" point, and they still process away without a single complaint. Now, the old A64 chips would flake and bitch the second you take them outside their comfortable zone... Reminds me of something else ;) :)

Wow  Where on earth did you get a quad for that price ?

they'd say:

"no its to BIG its too big!!! the megahurtz is just to big!!! it wont fit!!!"

but I still have good memories of those Denmarks.

lol about the comfort zones. Ya i can't believe how easy it is to overclock conroes. I'm still holding out for a possible quad upgrade in a future yet i dont see it happening any time soon I still have to upgrade my videocard to a possible 8800gt/3870.

are u on stock cooling? if so i wanna see how far i can get with my q6600

i get 3.0 at 1.235v on stock cooling and i get ~33c on idle and about ~50c on load so i was hoping i could push this farther

Very nice. You wont regret a thing.

I'm not even overclocking atm and the chip just kicks ass.

I'm on Air cooling with a Thermalright XP 90 with a Panaflo 92 mm fan. :)

lol.. but if we complain back their is hell to pay.

;)

With stock cooling I have my Q6600 at 42idle and low 60's stressed when ambient is 41C. Not great but it is the stock cooler...
