Just Got My 2001FP!!!

It came in this morning. I couldn't wait so I hooked it up at work and ran some tests. Manufacture date is Jan 2004. No stuck pixels or backlight problems. I guess I lucked out.

I do however notice the "screendoor" effect that has been metioned. It's really only noticeable on white backgrounds.

I can't wait to test it out at home on my 9700 pro in COD. I feel bad hooking up such a nice monitor to an analog intel integrated graphics card. I'll post some pictures later.

The middle one is the 30" Dell W3000 LCD/TV. Its only 1280x768 but very crisp picture...and SUPER bright...I had to turn down the brightness and contrast or else I would have to wear sunglasses. Its also a room heater.

I say "only" 1280x768 b/c its a lot more noticeable with two 1600x1200 2001Fps next to it.

If you're looking for a 30 inch LCD tv though the Dell is great. I've compared it to all the LCDs at best buy and like this one the best.

I still think DLP rear projection is superior though =)


Excuse the wire mess...waiting on a new case to clean the whole area up.
I'm losing those side speakers too...they came with the dell monitor but I got the 7.1 creative gigaworks s750 surround system on order.

Nope, I'm nicely settled up in Massachusetts. I've got a basement myself, usually what you see is that the walls are either finished or bare concrete, cinderblocks are rather rare and only on 45-ought year old houses, IF they even have a basement. Painted cinderblocks are something you usually only see at schools and stuff, a collage dorm would explain that

The screen on the left is just down as far as it goes on the stand. I have raised the screen on the right up to the level of the left screen.
