behind my desk is the cold water intake to my house if i were to wrap it in that copper coiled pipe and have it be part of my water cooling setup pretty much like a second radiator would that help @ all ya think its kinda hard to imagine it but i was thinking about it late last night when i couldnt sleep.

The pipe would have to be pretty cold. Remember that the contact between two circles is only a point, so you're not going to get a lot of heat transfer.

well, the water coming into my house is only about 3C so it's plenty cold. i could build a waterjacket to make sure that the water was making close contact with the pipe to adress thewhiteguy's surface area concern. the biggest thing that has held me back from doing it is the fact that for most of the day there is not any water flowing through the pipe: it is just sitting there.

if i started adding heat to the water, there would be convection currents set up in the pipe over and above the relatively small ones already present, but i don't thing that the convective movement of the water would transport the heat away terribly quickly.
