Just a rant about cards

Now I am an old hand here... been gone for a while and lost my logon and emails and life has changed. Military you know.

But I am more than a little pissed off by the price gouging thats going on, along with the fact that retails are saying out of stock and promising shipment dates and missing them. Now I can say this and be totally not affected by it becuase I had and I say had an order in to buy a 6800 ultra OC BFG card from Gameve for 499 before they raised thier prices. But after waiting ohh the better part of a month, after they were originally to be out back in June, then told July 26th and then about a week before that to have the date removed and no date posted, nor anything other than we do not know come from then when called I canceled the order. I am rather pissed off at the retailers for the gouging, and more pissed off at the fabricators of the cards themselves and not invidia becuase the Ultras instead of going into the retail channel are going to system builders from what little bit i have been able to find on the web, with a few trickling here and there.

I may eventually by the card but at the moment I am just pissed at the lieing and the greed.
