I know it's not nice to start your first post on a message board with a request but I'm on a time limit. Just a little history, last built the PC I am on now (1.1ghz duron, 256 meg, other old stuff) and boy have things changed!!

I set out to build a new PC to play some games and less problems and ended up with the same stuff Hard posted in thier $500 budget upgrade on the main site( I hada slower vid card selected).

I'v been reading through these sticky's on PS and I feel lost! I did all the calculations which probably came out wrong, but I just need some guidance in the right direction.

Already bought
-ASUS A8N-E mobo
-AMD 3200+ (socket 939)
-2 sticks of DDR 400 RAM (2x512)

Going to buy
-ATX case
-DVD ROM
-DVD burner 16x
-Geforce 6800 PCI-e

Now from what I read I need a 24 pin connector for the mobo, atleast one 12v line @26A, and brand matters when it comes to PS. After trying to figure this out my hunch is that this will be more than enough for my setup and even another HDD or two.

If this isn't can someone please explain to me WTF I am missing? Maybe I'm just retarded or need to take a class.

Well off the top of my head I don't remember the combined 12 for that PSU but......it doesn't really matter as it will power your setup. You don't have anything to intensive selected (or proposed to upgrade to)....all in all it is a good supply at a decent price. People have personal likes and dislikes but Fortron makes good units at a good price.
