Anybody seen a V2 available in the US? The V3+ is available under the DIYPC V3Plus name, but I'm really interested in the V2 as it is very small and perfect for a mITX build with no GPU.

Check to import a Cooltek Coolcube Mini from Europe (or Germany, don't know if they are available in other European countries). They are the distributor over here. Maybe some shop will ship it to the US for you:

Without a discrete graphics card why would you need a case so large? You can use a pico psu and use a much smaller case.

I plan on a Haswell i3, mITX, 8GB DDR3, 1 SSD, 1 HDD and 300w SFX PSU so I'm not sure I could get much smaller with a mITX motherboard as the base for the system.
 
I power an i-4770s, GTX 650, Samsung 840 Pro, 16GB RAM, with a pico 160 xt. I bet at most you draw 120 watts with that system. A sfx power supply is overkill, but if you must use a 3.5 inch drive you probably won't get a smaller case than what you are looking at.
 
I would guess it's under 100W at the most. Haswell i3's are what, 45W? Nothing else in there is going to add much.

I like those cases, they look really high quality, but I agree with updawg, the V2 doesn't make all that much sense to me (maybe you can cram a bunch of HDDs in there?). The V3 and the V4 look really good though, a bit bigger than necessary because of the full size PSU, but still interesting.

What case are you using? Passive cooling on the CPU or what cooler ate you running? I was looking at the Noctua NH-L9i as the stock Intel fan always seems too loud and I end up changing them out after the fact.
 
I3 4340 has TDP of 54w. Reason I'm looking at that as is eligible for a Microcenter CPU/motherboard bundle. I3 4340 is $139.99 and ASRock H87M is $94. 99 with a $30 discount if you buy them together.

I see on your build that you have a Prolimatech Samuel 17. I'm using that in my current ITX system with a Scythe PWM 120mm fan. Works very well but always wanted to try a Noctua and figured it would be as good a time as any since Scythe shutdown their US operation.
 
What power adapter would you recommend with the 160xt for my type of build?
 
Just buy from minibox, they have kits with the paired adapter. I would just buy the 160xt kit which I think has a 180 watt adapter.
 
I was looking last night and that's the conclusion I came to as well. How do you go about making additional connections for an extra SATA drive.? Just buy a splitter? I think the XT only had one SATA. Also, if my mobo is an 8-pin power what do I need to do with the PICOPSU?

The ROG itx is 8pin as well and you just use four, it shows you in the instructions. Also you can use molex to sata adapters and splitters.
 
Ordered the Legacy U2-B today for a mega special secret build. Slick small cases!
 
Just compare sizes and internal layout.. the only similarity between the JW1 and the M1 are the looks.
And others already posted links/pics from LianLi touting a similar front on some of their upcoming cases..
 
I'm building a a machine in a U2 case right now. Dunno if this h80i is gonna fit hehe...
