JBOD to my understanding is 2 or more hard drive disks "combined" through hardware to show one hard drive from an OS, windows in my case.

Does JBOD have the same risks as raid 0? ie: if one of the drives dies-- all the information is lost? :confused:

Yep. IIRC they use pseudo mount points instead of striping so technically you could still recover your data, just the JBOD volume wouldn't be valid if one disk did die.
