So I've been having some very disturbing issues with Java the past week or two.

First I noticed it when I couldn't log into my bank website - which has a Java keypad you have to get past. Here are screenshots of what is happening. They're large pictures so I'm leaving the links in as they are.

At first I was thinking that it was simply a problem with this website, until I went to try to load up another Java app. KGS is a little client for the Chinese board game Go. If you don't know what Go is that's fine - you just need to know it has a little Java based client. Here is the screenshot on the client crashing.

On a related note my AVG Free will not stop from thinking it is out of date. My databases are dated Jan 24th, 2009 yet AVG and Windows Security thinks it is still out of date. When I try to update AVG says there are no updates available and keeps on trucking with the warning flags about it being outdated.

I've gone into Safe Mode to update it and runs virus scans and I'm clean. I'm hoping these two problems with the Java and AVG aren't related....

You may try to clear out the java temporary files... Start->Control Panel->Java

Tried clearing the temp files and problem persists.

I'm thinking I may end up having to reformat to fix this stupid little thing.
