I finally got the A7M266-D back from RMA. Turns out the old one had broken traces around CPU0. This wasn't covered under warranty, so I took a refurb for 40 bucks and I still keep the remainder of my warranty (over a year left).

I brought it up yesterday with two MP 2000+'s, it's now running FreeBSD 5.2-RELEASE. I set it up to have WINE + F@H win32. Unfortunately, it appears the first workunit was deleted due to a 'client-core communications error', after it was finished.

I'll give it another shot or two, before I try another way.

By the way, is the 'LinuxB' client now 'built in' to the current F@H4 Linux client? With the speed improvements? I may just do that if that's the case.

Many thanks to BillR for the CPUs.

hey ttocs why not try the straight version for linux it is supposed to be alot better than the old days!

Well, I remember the LinuxB client being about equal to the win32 client (but I believe it was gromacs only, but I will run only gromacs on these CPUs), but I don't know if the linux client now has the same optimizations. I assume it does, but can someone confirm it for me?

Pics... I'll work on them. Problem is getting good lighting in the solarium here (only a true geek converts a solarium into their computer room! :))
