I am trying to install a new WD raptor 70 gig HDD. I can not get past the F6 installation of the Sata link drivers. I have tried the drivers from the motherboard website, and ones from WD support website. My floppy light does come on as it seems to be trying to read the data, but no luck. I can go into the raid utility and it shows the new HDD listed here.

Has anyone else ran into this issue? Help me out here please guys.

I am using a Epox 8rda3+ mobo.

If you are installing it as a part of a RAID, you need to set up the RAID with your BIOS before you install Windows. If you want it as a single non-RAID drive, you need to set up your BIOS to run it as a non-RAID drive.

When you go to install Windows on it, you can then hit F6, and install the corresponding driver for the RAID chip. One thing that you should make a note of is that some (most?) controllers have different drivers for RAID and non-RAID. Make sure that you install the correct driver for it.
