It's been about 10 years or more since I had an ISDN modem.... or even worked on one.

A guy at work is asking me if he can replace a customer's old modem with a new modem.

Uh... Is this a trick question?

You get a circuit from the CO and you plug it into the ISDN modem. Right?

The modem has three ports, if I remember correctly. Or is it two? I remember one data and one voice, but can't recall if there's a second data if you want to split the two channels.

I last used an ISDN modem at home in Febuary 1999.

My modem was a 3COM (or was it USR?), anyways, the data came into the modem via standard RJ-11(modem itself had a RJ-45), the modem had a Phone port where it converted the ISDN to POTS. So all you should have to do is get another modem, plug it in and go.
