I have an ATI x850XT. I have already RMA'd it for artifacting and have received a complete replacement.

This one gives me artifacts too.

But what's wierd is that they happen in games but not ATI Tool Artifact Scanner.

I'm really pissed at ATI right now, as I've tried this card on 2 different motherboards, both of different chipsets.

if during gaming, that means when cpu usage is also high. Either psu, or motherboard.

I'm guessing you guys are right about the PSU, as I've tried this on two very different motherboards.

My 12v shows an average of 11.67 I am guessing that's pretty bad.......

i guess. but this is not with a multimeter.. and btw.. hwat kind of psu?
nvm I see it is a thermaltake... thermaltakes aren't that bad... but to e sure get a multimeter

O and try running in agp 4x.. my old motherboard that I had before I rma'd to this current one artifacted eevrything I used agp 8x :p

Im using that one and its alive and well, stressed it and no probs, I wouldnt trust PSU readouts unless you try a multimeter. Im getting 3.4 on my 3.3 rail that has to be pretty bad.

its the PSU. it doesnt have enough juice on the 12v for that card and CPU together.

its all about 12v rail amps...

my cheapo 500 watter puts out 34 amps 12 rail....

best for p4s...

I wouldn't trust ampage claims on PSUs from unreputable companies.
