I have noticed when running firefox/crazybrowser/internet explorer if i grab the scroll bar and drag it up and down to scroll the page, i get serious lag in the window, it seems to be more dramatic on pages with lots of images and im not sure whats causing it.

Im running an athlon64 2800+, asus k8n3-deluxe mobo, 512 corsair value select pc3200 ram, geforce 6800 graphics card, I am also running the latest nforce and forceware drivers from nvidia.

anyone know wtf is going on ?

How would his connection affect the scrolling of his browser? The browser does not load the page as he scrolls.
 
is your HD reading at the same time?

May also be your mouse driver?
 
Im on 5mb cable, my mouse is a logitech mx510, i play counter-strike, its not my mouse :p
 
roght click on start go to explore, select documents, then local settings then temp and delte all the shit in there, then do same for the internet temp folder below it see if that helps. It sound s to me like your browser cache is clogged, but since its all ot them , how much space is left on your HD?
 
Cache cleared, temps deleted, 22 gigs free space, it may have something to do with flash ive been thinking, it doesnt appear to do it anywhere here at the [H], go wo www.gamespot.com and grab your scroll bar and go up and down a bit, see if you get it too i always notice it there
 
It also could be a program running in the background.....See if anything is taking your CPU cycles....
 
Nope, every time i reformat, i use services.msc and take care of 75% of the background processes that i dont need

That could be the problem right there. Some services do more than what their name indicates, so disabling them is more detrimental than you think. That might not be what is causing your problems in this situation, but disabling services has been known to have undesired consequences.

I went to gamespot.com and my scrolling is definitely not smooth. It isn't terrible, but it is definitely noticeable.

Yes this is a known bug when Scrolling by dragging the bar in the Auction house in Ironforge .... "We are looking into it"

Ahhhh, World of Warcraft. But yes, I have MAJOR lag in WoW when I do that in IF. Like lag so bad that I have to exit WoW and open it again.
