Is This A Psu Problem?

i Have a Western Digital raptor 74gb one. I play WoW for a few hrs a day but sometimes, The whole hard drive totaly shuts down on me and turns back on and it keeps doing it repeatedly. And it just loads up to were it was again without any crashes or blue screens. This does not happen to me all the time only when i use the hard drive alot for WoW and other games. I can keep my comp on for weeks and this wont happen, i know it shuts off because i hear a click then the whole disc slowing down and starting back up again and during that whole process my whole screen freezes for 2 seconds and resumes going, then after a 10 second period, it will do it again. Is this a overheating problem or just a Hd malfunction? What should i do

Psu 500 Watt came with Super Alien Case.
I got 2 fans on the radiator one on the side window and thats about it.
And im only ocing my 6800 gt to ultra speeds.

Anybody know how much a WC pump pulls on +12? With only 18A on +12, your PSU is guilty until proved innocent. Your CPU, GPU, HDD, CD Drive, fans, and WC pump all pull on +12V. The CPU is going to pull at least 6 amps/72 watts under load, the GPU (GF6800 pulls mainly on +12, the boards have molexes for a reason) another 5-6 amps/60-72 watts, your drives are going to pull at least 1 amp, and your cooling system is going to pull 2 more, at least. That's 15 amps on +12, for a full load estimated. Now, at first glance, that leaves you with a reserve of 15%. However, that 18amp figure is quoted at a temp of 25C. As your PSU heats up, it's power output potential decreases, until it can't supply any power at all at ~ 60C. Now, if you've felt the air coming out of your PSU, you know it's at least in the high 30s in there. You are right on the line of this PSU. Your other devices can simply draw more current through their power supply systems to meet their needs, and your fans/pump can deal with voltage drops. However, your hard drive is a precise mechanical device - search this forum for a reference to the Empire State Building - and is not going to be very receptive to poor power supply. Drop by the Power Supply Forum (http://www.hardforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=93) and read the stickies about what will be a good replacement PSU to power your system. I'll bet that solves the problem, assuming that your drive hasn't been damaged permanently yet. Be glad the Raptor ships with a 5 year warranty, and backup any irreplacable data as soon as possible.
