I have an i5 2500k and I ran the asus software that auto tunes the cpu. Its at 4.5 ghz at 1.33 vcire.and at full load with the 212 cooler the hotest core hits 68 C.
Could I do better? I feel like that temp is pretty much at its limit.
 
yep you could do a lot better. keep pushing for 4.8-5Ghz, you have plenty of headroom on the temp side.
