Is there another program like Windows Dvd Maker?

I really like how Windows DVD maker automatically plays random scenes of the movie in the dvd menu, is there another program like it? I Don't like using Windows dvd maker because it doesn't support .avi files and burns movies really slow.

Have you looked into the options in Nero Vision / Recode?

Nero Vision can do that but it's flaky.

I like DVD MovieFactory. It has some limitations, but you can find it for $30-$40 (after rebate) sometimes on sale or used and it's definitely worth it at that price. http://www.videomaker.com/article/13283/

Edit Menu, Background, select Background Video.

I was kind of discouraging it above. I've found it to be pretty useless because the conversion often dies even with VOB files as the source of the content. Even WMVs make it choke. I have no idea how well the video backgrounds work since the rest of it is so flaky.

ok i got ulead, but when i select "use first clip as introductory video" i cant click next.
