Is my PSU causing this?

I just recently built a new puter, see sig.
It randomly shutsdown on its own with no warning. The PSU is a Raidmax 500 Watt PSU. It had 2 sets of cables with 3 molex and 1 floppy cable on each set. WHat happens alot of the times is when the puter shuts down qand i try to start it, the puter turns on but the video doesn't display. I then have to toggle the switch in the back and then try to restart. When i check in bios the rails show as 12V as 11.73-11.78, 3V 3.28, 5V 4.98. Any idea of what it may be? My major quip is sometimes the sytem will play fine for hours and others it will last 2-3 minutes and just shutdown. Any ideas?

If it is indeed the PSU, what would be a good choice? I had bought an enermax a few years back it was a 431 watt, but the 12V rail was horrid. I do the thermaltakes and fortrons stack up?

TBH that sounds like classic PSU problems. I'd check the sticky for the best bang-for-the-buck PSU's. I believe the two you linked are in there.

Fortron PSUs are very good. I've never had a single problem with them.
