Is my current PC build acceptable?

I have:

MB: MSI P67A-GD80 (B3)
Intel 2600K
8 gig of 1600 DDR3 ram
ATI XFX 6870

and plenty of hard drives.

I ask if this is ok, because I am looking at the newer games out, like Crysis 2, etc

I game at 1920X1200. Can you guys of anything else I might add or change?

If you don't do a lot of CPU intensive tasks (like video editing) you might be just as happy with the 2500K, and put the price difference into a 6950.

The motherboard seems more high end then you need, unless there is a specific reason you need it?

If gaming is the main concern, drop down on the CPU (to 2500k) and/or mobo to get a better video card. You are better off at least moving up to a 6950 or GTX 560ti before spending elsewhere.

agreed.
Also, that mobo is about 200$. Something like this wont work?

all the money savings can go towards faster video card and/or maybe a small SSD.

Don't skimp on the powersupply, make sure to get one with good reviews (not user reviews, professorial reviews)

edit: which ddr3 you getting? link?

edit 2: wait, just reread your original post. You already have all of this hardware? Are you planning on selling it or something?

can it play crysis 2 on max? my cell phone can play crysis 2 on max.

i like the idea a saving a few $$ on the MB and going with a 6950.

Right now very few games can take advantage of more than 3 threads. Since the main difference between the Intel® Core™ i7-2600K and the Intel Core i5-2500K is the extra 4 threads that the Intel Core i7-2600K gets from hyper-threading. You need to ask yourself is 100MHz difference worth $100? Most people will say no and go with the Intel Core i5-2500K.

Looks fine to me, I would get another 6870 in a few months when the price goes down.
