is it worthwhile to repair backlight failure?

and if so, after the repair, is it as good as new, or will it dies say a no. of months later

anyone has done backlight repair on LCD and how long does your repair last?

Did it once on an edge lit laptop LCD with mini ccfl. It works fine but got to tape it back up properly...
Finnicky too. I also had a mountain of spares so keep that in mind.

Was more a can it be done test..

Yes almost always was the backlight driver in my experience but laptops for kids also had more than average snapped ccfls, due to extreme bending. Sometimes the screens didn't break but the ccfl did..
