Is it worth watercooling?

Hey I am thinking about either getting water cooling or air cooling. I have never installed a water cooling kit before and im a little worried that it might leak or something. Do you think it is worth using watercooling and how much does it cost ??
 
what do you intend using it for? overclocking? what cpu gpu ram? whats ur budget? in case something *does* go wrong, do you have the money to replace parts?
 
All watercooling kits suck except for the Swiftech Apex. In general, water isn't worth it unless you go custom.
 
"Is it worth it" is a question that you need to answer yourself. It was worth it to me because i like the fact that my computer is significantly quieter than it was before. Plus my temps are lower and i'm able to overclock further.

As for how much it costs, it really depends on why your going water(noise/perfomance/both), and what all you want to cool. You could spend as little as $150 and cool your CPU nicely, or you could spend $2000 and have a waterclock on every componant in your system. If you list what parts you'd like to cool down, and a ballpark of how much you want to spend, people here are very willing to give options on what would work wll for you
 
hmm custom sounds expensive... but ne way i have a stock amd 3500+ right now but i plan to upgrade to an opteron and OC it to where the fx-57 is running. I also am using a BFG 7800 GTX 256 and samsung M3 PC3200 ram which i hope to upgrade to corsair, OCZ or G.skill. and my mobo is an asus A8N-SLI Deluxe

and as for what id like to cool....my cpu, graphics card, and im not too sure what kind of ram im gunna be buying so i dont know the heat that it will produce
 
If I had $2000 to spend on WC.. Man my 4 X Opti 865's (Don't forget I have 2g's to spend on WC, so of course I have the most expensive AMD chips also) would each have there own loop, The MOSFETs would have there own loop, The Video Cards would each have there own loop, the Northbridge and south would each have there own loop.
MY Fucking sound card would have its own loop!

hey Majin you use mostly the same hardware as I do...how do you like your Ram?? does it work good for that mobo? and How are the raptors, ive always wanted to get some??

WORD same kit i have as you know. lol

mine has been working very good and saved me from searching for everything starting from scratch. :D
