I noticed that there are different folding teams out there. Is it like a competition and oyu win stuff if you fold the most?

The benefit is that they may eventually be able to fix some of the problems that humans have, like cancer for instance. You may win added years to your life or someone you love which is enough for most of us. If it's purely a competition thing for you that's fine too but you won't get anything, except maybe a feeling that you've done something worthwhile.

That's not a dumb question - frequently we have folders with handles here that are not the same as their user names in folding.
Example - gnewbury=gemniii
 
well these other folders should know better... DUH :p im just messing with ya... i bet chemical got it :confused: :eek: ;)
