Yes, it is good. It is the Ultra V-series 500W. I own one and it is running in the system I am using right now. They come with a lifetime warranty for free replacement.

they dont replace the hardware your psu took out

There is nothing wrong with the Ultra V-series 500W they have been reviewed and got decent reviews. If you don't want one -- fine don't get one.

Or maybe you can tell us what is wrong with it first.

They do not take out your hardware. That is nuts. They have thermal protection, inrush protect and overvoltage protection. It was reviewed by JohnnyGuru and he gave it a good review.

The Ultra V series is a decent power supply that will do everything you want. Go nuts, they're not bad power supplies.

When will people stop associating ultra with bad  They're good stable power supplies, that are inexpensive, and high quality.

Besides, they also don't take out hardware when they go, most of the time. They have all the required safety precautions.

As for the XION600w, i'd pass on it.

Nothing wrong with the Ultra V series. Mine has been working flawlessly for 6 months now.

I have been telling you guys for weeks, the Ultra V Series is a good power supply. Nothing wrong with it. They sell for $60 at Tiger Direct but Fry's has them for free after rebate. That is one of the best hardware deals on the planet. I will order another one once I get back the $40 rebate on the current one. It is like the magic $40 that keeps buying power supplies over and over with the same dollar.

The V Series are just plain janes they have no bling whatsoever. So if you are running a PC for show that is not the product for you. But I think it would serve 90% of us very well. I would not hesitate to use another one in my next build.

I have to say it is quiet too. It has a thermostatic fan controller. The thing has only turned up the fan once or twice since I have owned it. At normal setting very quiet.
